Yum! Spent the weekend away with girlfriends to celebrate a baby shower but, also managed to eat my way through a bit of Atlanta, GA. This fig & mascarpone tart from West Egg Cafe (1100 Howell Mill Rd, Atlanta, GA 30318) was the just icing on the cake -- so to speak-- of our three hour long Saturday brunch. The 30-minute, late afternoon wait was totally worth it; the tart, the fried chicken biscuit benny with tomato gravy and pimento cheese grits, the grapefruit sage mimosa were all delicious! I was pleasantly surprised that the "carafe" of mimosa's-- that we ordered for 3-- was served as a carafe of juice and entire bottle of prosecco on ice. I would definitely come back on my next trip to ATL and gladly wait again for a table too.
